Introduction

Sterling Arrow, on behalf of our client, is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Landscape Architect to support the Landscape Director in delivering a wide range of landscape planning and design projects. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to collaborate with architects, urban designers, and technicians on landscape-led masterplans and development projects for national and regional housebuilders.

Qualifications

  • Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute or nearing chartership status.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working on landscape projects.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture or a related field.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and MS Office.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Role Within Practice

  • Project Delivery: Assist the Landscape Director in delivering landscape planning and design projects.
  • Design Documentation: Prepare landscape design drawings, including masterplans, hard and soft landscape drawings, and technical details.
  • Site Engagement: Conduct site visits, photography, and appraisals.
  • Analysis & Reporting: Prepare LVIA baseline plans and contribute to landscape assessments, Design and Access Statements, and other reports.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated development solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare design proposals, sketches, and technical drawings for landscape projects.
  • Create planting schemes, hardscape layouts, and maintenance plans.
  • Ensure designs comply with planning regulations and environmental laws.
  • Oversee site construction to ensure alignment with design specifications.
  • Conduct environmental impact assessments and sustainability reports.
  • Monitor project budgets, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Innovate with sustainable design techniques such as rain gardens and green roofs.
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to team development.
