Introduction

Sterling Arrow, on behalf of our client, is seeking a skilled and motivated Architectural Technician to join a dynamic team working on diverse projects, including residential developments for national housebuilders and private developers. Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of practice experience.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Strong understanding of building regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Role Within Practice

  • Technical Documentation: Produce detailed drawings and specifications compliant with building regulations and industry standards.
  • Project Collaboration: Work closely with architects, designers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality design solutions.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs and documentation meet relevant building codes and regulations.
  • Project Variety: Contribute to a wide range of projects, primarily in the residential sector.
  • Team Participation: Collaborate effectively within a team, contributing ideas and solutions to project challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Produce detailed technical drawings and specifications for construction projects.
  • Ensure designs comply with building regulations and industry standards.
  • Conduct site visits and surveys to assess project progress and resolve technical challenges.
  • Assist in the preparation of planning applications and building regulation submissions.
  • Utilise CAD and BIM software to create and manage design documentation.
  • Training/Support

  • Ongoing professional development and training opportunities.

  • Support for gaining professional accreditations (CIAT, RIBA, etc.).

    • Full-time, office-based role: Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm (1-hour lunch break).
