Introduction

Sterling Arrow, on behalf of our esteemed client, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Architectural Technician/Technologist. The successful candidate will play a key role in assisting project leads in delivering high-quality architectural commissions and supporting day-to-day operations within the practice.

Qualifications

HNC/HND in a construction-related subject or a degree in Architectural Technology or similar.

Role Within Practice

  • Project Assistance: Support project leads in the planning, design, and technical delivery of commissions.
  • Technical Design & Documentation: Create and develop technical drawings, CAD models, and graphical content.
  • Project Administration: Attend project meetings, take accurate minutes, conduct technical research, and handle project documentation, including the issuing and receiving of drawings and other critical information.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate with clients, consultants, contractors, and sub-contractors under the guidance of project leads.
  • Office Support: Provide general office assistance, including filing, telephone handling, and welcoming guests.

Responsibilities

  • Produce detailed technical drawings and specifications for construction projects.
  • Ensure designs comply with building regulations and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to deliver high-quality design solutions.
  • Conduct site visits and surveys to assess project progress and resolve technical challenges.
  • Assist in the preparation of planning applications and building regulation submissions.
  • Utilise CAD and BIM software to create and manage design documentation.
  • Maintain project records and contribute to technical reports.
  • Training/Support
