Introduction

Sterling Arrow, on behalf of our esteemed client, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Architectural Technician/Technologist. The successful candidate will play a key role in assisting project leads in delivering high-quality architectural commissions and supporting day-to-day operations within the practice.

Qualifications

HNC/HND in a construction-related subject or a degree in Architectural Technology or similar.

Role Within Practice

Project Assistance: Support project leads in the planning, design, and technical delivery of commissions.
Technical Design & Documentation: Create and develop technical drawings, CAD models, and graphical content.
Project Administration: Attend project meetings, take accurate minutes, conduct technical research, and handle project documentation, including the issuing and receiving of drawings and other critical information.
Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate with clients, consultants, contractors, and sub-contractors under the guidance of project leads.
Office Support: Provide general office assistance, including filing, telephone handling, and welcoming guests.

Responsibilities

Produce detailed technical drawings and specifications for construction projects.

Ensure designs comply with building regulations and industry standards.

Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to deliver high-quality design solutions.

Conduct site visits and surveys to assess project progress and resolve technical challenges.

Assist in the preparation of planning applications and building regulation submissions.

Utilise CAD and BIM software to create and manage design documentation.

Maintain project records and contribute to technical reports.
